THE EVIL SUPERSTARS - READY TO SURPRISE YOU
Paradox Press Release
"Delivering multiple pop orgasms..il's a cocktail of glamorous thrills and naas-ty grooves, a sensuous tongue kiss reaching parts other music misses." Melody Maker
"Like an electrifying cross between the solid dynamics of Girls Against Boys and much missed Ohio art-rockers Brainiac, the Superstars more than live up to their name." Kerrang
SUPERSTARS, the Belgian five-piece with their unique blend of drop-dead melodies and twisted lyrical insights, release their new album "Boogie Children-R-Us" on 1 st June 1998.
The album features fourteen songs penned by frontman Mauro Pawlowski, including such enigmatic titles as "I Can't Seem To Fuck Things Up", "I've Been Wrong Before", and their ironic "pop" track "It's A Sad, Sad Planet" and the new single "B,A,B,Y." with the brilliant lyric "come down if you wanna have...smart sex with a winner". "Boogie Children-R-Us was produced by Dave Sardy who has previously worked with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and who is in his own underground American rock band Barkmarket.
The first single to be lifted was the popular radio record "B.A.B.Y" which had a limited release in March, followed by the release of "It's A Sad, Sad Planet" on 4th May. The lyrics are always entertaining and the music is always both challenging and fascinating. Live? They rock like no one else. Catch them live and hear their music for a whole new experience.
The Evil Superstars are: Mauro Pawlowski (vocals). Tim Vanhamel (guitar), Dave Schroyen (drums). Marc Requile (keyboards) and Bart Vandebroek (bass).
